About Feeding Disorders
There are many steps involved during the eating process and during mealtimes themselves. At times, due to a variety of reasons, there is a breakdown and children do not develop the skills needed. A feeding disorder can occur at any stage of a child’s development, though often, we see this commonly in younger eaters. Some children have difficulty nursing or taking a bottle; moving to solid foods; or tolerating certain tastes and textures. Others are picky eaters who are hesitant to try new foods, only eat certain foods, or may take a long time to eat.
